"My daughter has so much fun with the other kids and teachers … what a great place for fun and learning!"Jessica K. (Facebook)Providing the seeds for learning
Our preschool program is not just ABCs and 123s. It is a custom-designed program with activities and projects geared toward each child's ability.
A few key components of this program consist of socialization, communication and academic skills. We also have chosen a multi-age grouping plan for our preschool program. Children work and play with younger and older peers throughout the school day. We believe this type
of environment creates an enriching and challenging social atmosphere. Each month we venture out on a field trip that enhances the educational unit we are focused on. Some of the places we visit are the Milwaukee Zoo, Swan’s Pumpkin Farm, Apple Holler's “Mrs. Clause and the Littlest Reindeer," Franklin Library and many more.
Much like 4K and 5K, our professional preschool program is made up of a structured curriculum with units and weekly themes geared for children ages 2 to 5. These lessons are carefully planned and prepared for by dedicated, qualified teachers. Our goal is to provide your child the best positive learning experience using different learning centers and small group activities. Unlike other 4K and 5K programs, we take it one step further by continuously challenging your child academically. As your child progresses, so does our curriculum.
Preschool begins promptly at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 11:30 a.m, Monday through Friday. All preschool children are divided into two groups: Group A and Group B. Each group will share the same lesson, and experience the same activities at different times throughout the morning.
If a child is at ECEC for child care during preschool hours, he or she will be included in a preschool class.
We welcome parents to come in to observe!
Dedicated, qualified and caring
Our friendly team is composed of dedicated, qualified teachers who have extensive experience in early childhood education and have a college degree. In addition to making sure each child feels happy, safe and nurtured, our teachers work together to develop professional lesson plans, structured units and monthly themes designed to motivate and encourage children learn in a fun way.
Our teachers serve as guides, helping the children explore new opportunities and find solutions to various challenges. It's because of our highly-qualified teachers that we can offer a higher standard of preschool education and quality child care to the Oak Creek community. At ECEC, your child is important to us.
8:30 - 8:50 a.m.
Opening consists of talking about the day’s activities and picking jobs such as door holder, snack helper, line leader, and weather or calendar person.
CENTER TIME / SMALL GROUP ACTIVITIES
8:50 - 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 – 11:15 a.m.
Center time is time reserved for your child to explore the different centers we have to offer. Using their own symbol, each child will have the opportunity to explore freely from center to center.
Small Group time consists of daily activities which include calendar events, observing the weather outside as well as an educational lesson related to the unit of the week.
9:30 - 10:10 a.m.
Snack time consists of nutritious snacks and 100 percent juice or water.
OUTSIDE PLAY OR MUSIC TIME
10 - 10:30 a.m.
Children never miss an opportunity to play outside in the back yard (weather permitting). There are many choices for the children: swings, play structure with a slide, little play houses and more. During cold or rainy days, children sing and dance around indoors for music time. We have a large music library of fun songs that get the children active!
11:15 - 11:30 a.m.
Story time is when both groups join together to listen to a story that is related to the theme of the week.

M-F Preschool Class
15 hours per week
M/W/F Preschool Class
9 hours per week
T/Th Preschool Class
6 hours per week
Families with more than one child enrolled in our program may combine the total number of hours per week to determine the family rate.
A child signed up for M/W/F preschool at 9 hours a week and a sibling signed up for before-and-after school care at 15 hours a week brings a combined total of 24 hours. This family is eligible for the "half-time" family rate.
How do I enroll my child?
The first and most important step is to tour our center. Be sure to bring in your child so you and your child can meet all our teachers. Please be sure to take this time to share any concerns and to ask questions. If you feel ECEC is a good fit, the next step is enrollment.
When are the enrollment forms due?
We need the “Enrollment Form" and "Health History Form” handed in before your child’s first day.
What does my child need on the first day?
There are several items needed: a change of clothing kept at ECEC, a blanket, pillow and, if your child takes naps, a favorite napping friend (e.g. stuffed animal).
Does ECEC provide lunch?
ECEC does not provide a lunch and families will need to pack a lunch for their child. However, ECEC does provide milk, silverware and napkins. We also have a microwave to warm up hot lunches.
Does ECEC provide snacks?
ECEC provides a morning and afternoon snack, as long as your child does not have any dietary restrictions.
Otherwise, we can accommodate limited special diets.
Will I receive an invoice?
ECEC does not do paper invoicing. Account balances are displayed on the computer screen each time you log in or log out. Parents also have online access to your account to view charges and pay online.
How is my weekly tuition calculated?
Each family establishes a weekly schedule and tuition amount. If your child does not attend on a scheduled date for any reason, families are still responsible for the weekly tuition.
Are there any tuition credits?
ECEC offers one sick day per month. The sick day can be used for any reason but cannot be accumulated. Advance notice is required to use a sick day.
Why do I need to fill out a schedule when my children will be absent?
The State of Wisconsin requires all child care centers to monitor children’s absences.
New enrollment is based on availability on a first-come, first-serve basis. An annual $75 registration fee
(non-refundable) is due upon enrollment. A parent handbook will be provided once your child is enrolled.
